On December 2nd and 3rd more than 700 participants are expected in the venerable Paris Stock Exchange, representing the entire innovation landscape of the health care system. Over the next few days, experts and opinion leaders, decision-makers and innovative health professionals will exchange ideas on the most relevant health issues of today. This year’s meeting will focus on the “Unmet Medical Need” – previously unaddressed medical issues.

The stock exchange as the venue for the annual conference of EIT Health, the Europe-wide network of innovators in the health sector and partner of our platform aescuvest.eu, is emblematic in several respects. On the one hand, it is a symbol of exchange and trading, not only of commodities or securities, but also of information. Moreover, the stock market like no other institution represents the link between the real economy and the cycle of money. Without financial resources, there is no innovation landscape. And the social benefits of an innovation can be grasped by anyone in terms of savings or revenue potential.

Money as a scarce commodity is, of course, also a control mechanism. Only those who manage to acquire sufficient funding, can put their innovative ideas into practice and bring these to market. 80 promising start-ups will be present in Paris. Some of them will most likely be found on our platforms sooner or later. With aescuvest, all European citizens have the opportunity to actively promote medical development.
